Current status (HEB, 2011): This taxon was only certainly separated from A. emargana (Fabr.) in 2003, British records being restricted to Scotland except for a single unlocated northern England record. Our only record is from Malham Tarn (VC64) in 2004, but it will be as well to check specimens from the north-west of the county.
