For the county, we have a total of 1404 records from 684 sites. First recorded in 1883.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widely recorded and locally common in all five vice-counties. This species is a good indicator of old hay meadows and tends to disappear where natural grassland sites are reseeded in agricultural areas.
2012 (CHF): This species is doing fairly well in hay meadows. There is a lack of records however in south and east VC63 presumably due to agricultural practices.
