Species Account

Argus 60, 2010: Formerly restricted to Scotland until it was found in southern England in 1991 from where it has extended its range.
VC63. Goole, 17.7.2010 gen. det. HEB (PKe); Hatfield Moors 28.10.2010 gen. det. (HEB et al.). NEW COUNTY RECORD

Current status (HEB, 2011): NEW COUNTY RECORD. The British distribution of this moth was formerly restricted to Scotland until it was found in southern England in 1991. Since then it has been found more widely, the first Yorkshire records being from Goole and Hatfield Moors (VC63) in 2010. It is likely to be found more widely amongst old birches.
