For the county, we have a total of 2295 records from 26 sites. First recorded in 1874.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species is restricted to coastal sand hills in Britain, so it is not surprising that it is found at Spurn (VC61). Recent records suggest it is still flourishing at this site.
2012 (CHF): Numbers have dropped a little at its only Yorkshire site at Spurn, but we still get over 100 records in a year.
