Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widely distributed and generally common in all five vice-counties, although noted as becoming scarce at Skipwith (VC61) in the 1970s (SMJ). This species is very variable which makes it very difficult to pick out odd specimens of A. furva (Denis & Schifferrnuller).
2012 (CHF): Common and widespread across the county in good numbers and in various forms. The largest numbers are usually from the Spurn area eg 124 on 6.7.1987.
