Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: No confirmed record since Porritt (1983-86). He recorded it from Sutton upon Derwent (VC61, York, Scarborough (VC62), Wakefield, Sheffield (VC63) and Bramham (VC64). It has recently been rediscovered in Kesteven Forest in Lincolnshire and is apparently quite common there (Duddington & Johnson, 1983).

Current status (CHF, 2011): Last recorded 1883. There are recent records from Lincolnshire, however this species has disappeared from many of its old haunts. It is unlikely to be found in Yorkshire but should be looked for in mature woodland with aspen.
