Species Account


Argus 52, 2006: This native of North America was first recorded in England (and also for the first time in Europe) in 1997. It shares the same foodplants as A. trifasciata and has since spread in the same manner.
VC63. Pontefract, six 11-30.6.2006 (JWC); Idle, 3.7.2006 (DP). NEW COUNTY RECORD.
VC64. Tadcaster, 16.6.2006 (DBk). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (HEB, 2011): Undoubtedly introduced with imported conifers it has since spread steadily...... At present it seems to occur quite commonly in a few localities but has the capacity to spread more widely in the future.

Argus 69, 2013: Has been recorded as locally common in vice-counties 63 & 64 in recent years, the following records are evidence of continuing range expansion.
