Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Quite widespread and fairly common among apple in vice-counties 61 to 63 and recorded occasionally from vice-counties 64 and 65. Formerly known as A. arcella (Fabricius), the senior name for this species has recently been shown to be A. curvella (Linnaeus) (Agassiz, 1987a).
