Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: A local species in Yorkshire and although regularly taken at some sites, not generally common.

2012 (CHF):This species seems to be doing well especially in oak woodland where it can be locally common eg 70 at Kilburn on 16.3.2009. Widespread in suitable habitat across the county and sometimes coming to gardens. One of the more striking spring moths.
