Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Very local and very rare.
2012 (CHF): Probably more common than the very few records suggest. Unlike most of the Nepticulidae this species does not make distinctive leaf mines. Most records are obtained by beating alders though it can also be found flying round alders on sunny days.
