Species Account

Similar species: 0287 Caloptilia robustella.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widespread and common, old records cover the County but since the separation of C. robustella (Jackh) in 1972 confirmed records are restricted to vice-counties 62-64. Undoubtedly occurring elsewhere, for alchimiella is much the commoner species in Yorkshire, valid records from the remaining vice-counties are desirable.

Beaumont, 2002:
VC61. Skipwith Common, 30.5.1993 det. HEB (GBS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
