Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: The species which feed on the seeds of Chenopodiaceae have been the subject of much misidentification. The present species is probably the most widespread and common of these, there are old records from all five vice-counties. Confirmed recent records are restricted to vice-counties 61, 63 and 64; in VC63 it is widely distributed and common.
