Species Account

Similar species: Adult very similar to C. saxicolella, only reliably separated by genitalia dissection. Larval case indistinguishable from those of C. saxicolella, C. versurella and C. vestianella.

VC61. Spurn NNR, five 4-18.8.2009 gen. det. (BRS); Kilnsea, gen. det. three 4 & 8.8.2009 (JWC, BRS). NEW COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (HEB, 2011): One of a number of Coleophora species that can only be reliably determined by dissection, this moth was first recorded at Spurn (VC61) in 2009.
