Similar species: Confusion species are 0496 C. milvipennis, 0498 C. alnifoliae, and 0497 C. badiipennella.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species has been confused with others and of the two old published County records one refers to C. milvipennis (Zeller) and the other is unsubstantiated.
