Most records are of leaf-mines.
Argus 60, 2010: Recorded fairly frequently in vice-counties 63 and 64 but otherwise with only a single record from VC62.
VC65. Near Masham, mine on birch 12.10.2010; nr. Thornton Steward, mines 21.10.2010; Agra, Calderdale, 21.10.2010; Lartington, mines 2.11.2010 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
2013 (CHF):Mines occur on both hazel and birch in about equal numbers. It should not be mistaken for any other species on either of these hosts as the mines are quite distinctive. The underside egg leads to a highly convoluted early gallery. This then widens abruptly into a blotch, often between two lateral veins.
