Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Bradley (1963) showed that E. unifasciella (Haworth) was a distinct species which had been confused with gangbella. The records may refer to either species and confirming records required.
Beaumont, 2002: Yorkshire records were considered as unconfirmed, a recent record reinstates the species on the County list.
