Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Both this species and C. mi (Clerck) fly in sunshine and therefore are only rarely found in light traps. This may result in under recording in the current heyday of light-trapping. Very local but recorded slightly more in recent years, especially in the east of the County.

2012 (CHF): Rather local in scattered locations in the centre and east of the county. Usually recorded as single moths but occasionally in bigger numbers eg 17 at Elvington Air Museum on 15/6/2010.
