Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widely distributed and often common on moorland. This species has recently increased its range to a number of lowland areas. Recorded from all five vice-counties.

2012 (CHF): The comments in Sutton and Beaumont are interesting as this trend has been reversed. It is now rarely reported from lowland areas and may be pushed north and west with climatic change. Numbers in general have declined though it still appears to be common in the north and west of the county.
