Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: The only British specimen of this New Zealand species was taken at Spurn (VC61) by J. N. Thornton (MBGBI 9), flying in warm sunshine in July 1950. Given the amount of exotic goods imported into Hull via the Humber, it would seem likely that it was a ship-borne immigrant.
2012 (CHF): This remains the only British record of this species.
