For the county, we have a total of 25 records from 11 sites. First recorded in 2003.
Argus 47, 2001-04:
VC64. Sharow Mires, 25.6.2003, thirteen at MV light (CHF, JCW, SPW). NEW COUNTY RECORD.
Argus 56, 2008: First recorded in Yorkshire in 2003 from VC64, this is only the second county locality
VC65. Hutton Conyers, 27.7.2008 det. HEB (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
Argus 58, 2009:
VC61. Lund, two on 30.6.2009 (MCo). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
Current status (HEB, 2011): A local moth in Britain, mainly southern in distribution but in the west occurring north to Westmorland. In Yorkshire first recorded at Sharow Mires (VC64), where it was well established, in 2003, then Hutton Conyers (VC65) in 2008 and Lund (VC61) in 2009 and 2010. Certainly now resident in the county and should be looked for amongst old poplars.
Argus 69, 2013: Since its first appearance in the county in 2003 this moth has been recorded with increasing frequency.
