Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Recorded from all five vice-counties but only occasionally from VC65 (Baldersby St James (RIS trap 315, TAP) and Harmby, once (FBS)). Skinner (1984) gives Yorkshire as the northern limit of this species' range. It is considered extinct in Durham, VC66, just to the north of us (Dunn & Parrack, (1986).

2012 (CHF): Widespread especially in lowland light woodland with bramble and doing fairly well in the county. Over the last few years if has moved further north to mid-Northumberland.
