Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Recorded from all five vice-counties and occasionally locally common, especially on the Wolds and at other sites with calcareous soils.

2012 (CHF): Most of our records come from upland limestone areas and the biggest counts have all been from Malham Tarn. It does however occur at plenty of lowland sites all across the county. Numbers have perhaps dropped a little recently. A second brood which was most noticeable in the 1990s is now not reported quite so often.
