For the county, we have a total of 10 records from 7 sites. First recorded in 1883.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There are three recent records of this species in the County. One of these is from the Doncaster area of VC63, where it has long been known to be established (YNU, 1970). The other two records are from new sites. In Yorkshire (and elsewhere in the country) it may feed on snowberry as much as honeysuckle, ova having been found on this plant by A.M. Heron and previously by G.E. Hyde in the Doncaster area (AMRH pers. comm.).
Current status (CHF, 2011): The last record in 1980. We are more likely to re-find this than the previous species. Populations still exist south of the VC63 boundary and the moth has been previously seen in the Doncaster area.
