Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This migrant is often absent for many years, presumably until the European population builds up to a peak and then there are large scale immigrations and it becomes established for a few years. This happened in the 1950s and again in the 1970s, when 1973 was a notable year. There have been occasional records since.
Argus 47, 2001-04:
VC65. Hutton Conyers, 21.7.2001 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
2012 (CHF): This moth continues to be recorded in most years with 13 records in 2003 and 12 in 2011 being the most. Although most records are coastal, many are reported from inland sites. The only recent larvae have been at Spurn in 2011.
