Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There are no recent records of this rare migrant in Yorkshire. The last was from Askwith, near Otley (VC64) in 1949 (YNU, 1970). However on map 14 in MBGBI 9 it is shown that there have been between one and three recorded in each vice-county between 1940 and 1978.
2012 (CHF): There have been two further records of this migrant hawk-moth, Spurn in 2002 and Tophill Low in 2011, both coincidentally on 15th July.
