For the county, we have a total of 49 records from 27 sites. First recorded in 1880.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: A very local species preferring fenland, damp woodland and marshy places. Only recorded from Strensall Common (VC62) for many years, it has now also been recorded from Allerthorpe Common and Everingham (VC61).
2012 (CHF): This species remains very local in the county with four populations: Strensall, Allerthorpe area, Spurn, and the extreme south-east of VC63, though there have been few records from Strensall and Allerthorpe recently.
