For the county, we have a total of 8 records from 6 sites. First recorded in 1881.
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There were no records of this species for several years until it was rediscovered on Strensall Common (VC62) in July 1986 (NG). This was the species' former stronghold in the County but it had not been recorded there since 1970 (Jackson, 1971).
Current status (CHF, 2011): Historical isolated populations at Strensall and Allerthorpe, the last reported in 1986. Does it still occur here?
