Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Local and uncommon.

Argus 52, 2006:
VC61. Spurn, 5.6.2006 det. HEB (BRS). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.

2013 (CHF): Very local in the county. The larvae feed on buds of roses, both wild and cultivated. A rather dingy-looking species compared to others in the genus, as the name "morosa" (gloomy) suggests.
