Species Account
Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Previously very rare in Yorkshire (Porritt, 1883-86) and then not recorded for many years (YNU, 1970). This species has undergone a remarkable range extension since 1974, although it has not been recorded from VC65.
Beaumont, 2002: Following a substantial increase in records from the mid 1970s this moth appears to have declined again with relatively few records since 1997.
Argus 56, 2008:
VC65. Hutton Conyers, 5 & 14.5.2008 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
Current status (CHF, 2011): A gradual reduction in numbers, though the range in central Yorkshire is unaltered.
