2012 (CHF): Please record Common Rustic/Lesser Common Rustic as Common Rustic agg. if using MapMate rather than Mesapamea sp. Despite what some books may suggest, these two species are never separable on wing markings. Be careful with genitalia examination as they can be tricky to separate. The aggregate species is widespread and common all across the county and can appear in huge numbers eg 1010 at Haxby on 10.8.2009.
