Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species was added to the British list in 1948 (Bland, 1984) when specimens from central Scotland and western Ireland were identified as the present species and not N. pilella (Denis & Schiffermuller) as previously thought. The following is presently the only English record.
VC63. Wadworth, 2.6.1904 by LSB (Beaumont, 1985b). The specimen had stood in Brady's collection as N. pilella (Denis & Schiffermuller) and was listed as such by Skidmore (1973).
2013 (CHF): There have been no further records of this species in England though it does occur in Scotland and western Ireland.
