Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widespread and very common, even in open habitats, throughout all five vice-counties.
2013 (CHF): Widespread and common throughout the county in a variety of habitats and more likely to be found in open habitats and gardens than the similar but much larger Nematopogon swammerdamella>. Like other members of the genus it can be disturbed in the daytime and also comes to light.
