Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Widely recorded and often common, mainly in woodland, throughout all five vice-counties.
2013 (CHF): Common and widespread in woodland across the county where it is often disturbed in the daytime but also comes to light. All of the Nematopogon species are similar in appearance but swammerdamella is easily recognised by its larger size.
