Species Account


Syn. Metriostola betulae

Similar species: Most likely to be confused with 1451 Pyla fusca, which see for differences, and the southern species 1486 Apomyelois bistriatella which has several records in the south of Yorkshire.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Quite widespread and locally fairly common among birch in vice-counties 61 to 64, most frequent in the southern half of VC63.
