Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: There have been several new sites found for this species since the late 1960s. However it is not yet possible to ascertain whether there are any established colonies or just mere wanderers from other areas. It must be spreading to some extent, however, to produce so many odd sightings.

Argus 50, 2005: Only recorded from one site this year [2005], but in large numbers with 52 trapped. This species is double brooded in Yorkshire.
VC64. Bishop Monkton, several dates in June and August/September (D&DB).

2012 (CHF): Local in wet areas where the larvae feed on bedstraws with small numbers recorded in most years.
