Most records are of leaf-mines.
Argus 47, 2001-04:
VC64. Ripon Parks, mines on Ulmus glabra 5.9.2003 (CHF). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
2013 (CHF): This species is not as common as Stigmella lemniscella on Elm but is proving to be fairly widespread across the county. Mines of the two species can be difficult to separate but the frass in the first part of the corridor is in a narrow central line with clear edges. The frass pattern in the later segment is very variable: sometimes in a narrow central line, sometimes broadly dispersed or even coiled when it looks rather like lemniscella. The exit hole however is in the lower epidermis whereas that of lemniscella is in the upper epidermis.
Argus 69, 2013:
VC62. Flatts Lane CP, Middlesborough & Newton under Roseberry Woods, mines on elm 17.10.2013 (CHF, RWo). NEW VICE-COUNTY RECORD.
