Species Account

Similar species: 0240 Case-bearing Clothes Moth Tinea pellionella.

Argus 60, 2010: Like many of the clothes moths, all of which have become scarcer in modern times, this species is most often encountered indoors.
VC61. Easington, indoors 29 & 30.6.2010 gen. det. HEB (BRS). NEW COUNTY RECORD.

Current status (HEB, 2011): This moth has a wide distribution in Britain but is relatively infrequently encountered, many records being indoors. Recorded indoors at Kilnsea (VC61) in 2010.
