VC63. Huddersfield, abundant in wool warehouse, July 1883 (as merdella (Zeller)) (Porritt, 1883-86).
2014 (CHF): There have been no further records of this declining species. Like most of the genus, the larvae feed on decaying animal material both indoors and outdoors. Identification requires dissection.
