Species Account

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Recorded from most habitat types in all five vice-counties. However it is fairly thinly distributed except near moorland and heathy localities where it may be frequent or common. The lowland VC61 specimens are stated to have a much brighter reddish-brown ground colour than the moorland specimens of VC62 which are more greyish-brown (PQW pers. comm.).

2012 (CHF): Common and widespread across the county, particularly in upland areas where larger numbers are trapped eg 84 at Thruscross on 30.7.2010. Numbers are stable.
