Syn. Z. diniana (Guenée).

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: Porritt (1907) states 'abundant in pine woods, probably everywhere', this may well be so but there is presently no record from vice-county 61. It is well distributed and fairly common among larch in vice-counties 62 to 65.
